Halloween Party

The most important moment of our trip was the Halloween party. It was basically the reason why we organised a trip. It turned out very well, at least many people say so. I think we could have been more organised, but some other moments were very good.

The games were cool but we didn't have time for all of them. I think everybody enjoyed the evening and what we had planned. I personally had so much fun, I can't remember the last time.

There was also awsome atmosphere, partly because of the original costumes we wore - after all it is a tradition, we couldn't have missed it.

Trip to Chepelare, Plovdiv, Rojen observatory

In the Ski Museum

During our trip we visited so many interesting places. First we started with Chepelare - the town where our hotel was. There we visited the museum of rodopian karst and the ski museum.

Both of them very not large by any means but had their own atmpsphere and were very interesting. On the 31st we went to the observatory in Rojen. It is the biggest one on the Balkans. Even though we had awful weather - cold and windy, we learned a lot and saw some unique thing, like a giant telescope for example.

The next day on our way back we stopped in Plovdiv. It is the second largest city in Bulgaria. There we had free time to look around or eat. I had never beeen there before so I liked it very much. All in all, everyone was very sad that our trip ended so quickly. I can't wait for the next one.

Party Night

The night of the 30th was our "rehearsal" party. This means no games - just music and good mood. We were always surprised by the DJ's cool music and so many people were on the dance floor, even the younger boys and girls.

The place was perfect for this - it was like a real club. We danced until late and had so much fun. But it was also helpful to see how we should do it the next night. I found the party sooooooo cool.

Second meeting for Halloween

Today we met for the second time for the Halloween organisation. We really put much effort into doing everything perfectly and I can't wait to see how it turns out to be.

We met in one room and what we did was put some final touches on the script, separate the presents and gifts and clear what was left  to be cleared.

The real party will be tomorrow night but we also organised something for tonight - it is karaoke night. It won't be a lie if you say that we did half of the work for this trip.

Opening of Fitness Season

Learning is imortant, but is not everything. We also need sport and because I'm not quite into any particular one I decided to do fitness. I'm going in a studio in my town, sadly quite late in the afternoon because we have school often until half past three.

I do it because I know how important sport is for the physical development, especially at our age. I like it very much even though it takes quite a lot of my time. It is always wanderful to feel that nice tireness that only comes after a good work-out.

"Arts and Crafts" club First meeting

The "Arts and Crafts" club is very enjoyable and interesting. This is why I chose to participate in it yet another year. Today I went for the first time when I had a gap between classes.

What we now do is decorate small clay pots with a wide variety of techniques - oil or acrylic painting, decoupage and spraying. The pots are to be sold on the annual Christmas charity bazaar we in the college organize. Every year we sell something and the collected money is given for some good cause.

It is a tradition and I will be happy to sell as well when the time comes. Until then I'm sure the Mrs. Petarcheva will have many more nice ideas for what we will do in the club. Plus I truly enjoy that time because it's really easy to separate yourself from the stressful daytime, though just for a while.

Voluntary Club Opening

The voluntary club is the biggest one in our school nad no surprise - the things we do there are wonderful. The second brake today marked the beginning for this year.

We met in the aula and our leader Ms. Yordanova said some introductory words and brught up the campaigns we are going to deal with in the near future.

 We are going to start with collection clothes for children with no parents, who live in a special house and we are going to bring what we have in a few weeks. This is a perfect charity and I will surely look through my wardrobe this evening.

As an eleventh grader I feel it is important to give example for the younger students but I am sure they will donate as well and we will put some smiles on the faces of those children.

Our Intarnational Project

Another obligatory thing we have to do during our first year is the International project. This year we wanted to participate in what is called "Achievers International Exporting Success". Mrs. Petarcheva introduces us to the idea of the project during a special meeting and we liked it.

We were going to work with another school from another country, which I think is great - we get to communicate with different people and a different culture. Sadly the project was turned down and we had to find another international project.

What we did insted of the "Exporting Success" was participate in a project about rising attention to accidents on streets. It was also quite interesting. Many people created the project itself. Others like me developed the CD and its form as a final product.

Organising Halloween

We are strongly preparing for the upcoming celebrating of Halloween. This year we are going to Chepelare with the eighth and nineth graders. It is a tradition that some teachers, the IB students and the eighth and nineth graders go to celebrate Halloween somewhere.

This year we are separated in three teams and I am a leader of one. My kids should be dressed like Disney heroes. Plus, we shuold bake something. Sweet. Literally. It is a pleasure to have to guide them, they are so cute.

Meanwhile we are organising what is to be done the evenings we spend there. The first night we are doing karaoke and the second night we are playing games. I hope we have fun!

Marius Kurkinski's Monospectacle

I believe art is an irreplacable part of the modern person's life. This is why I never thought if not going to Marius Kurkinski's monospectacle. Marius is a prominent bulgarian actor and after all the years on stage he managed to do yet another great performance.

What I personally liked the most was that he kept the attention for more than an hour, did not stop for a moment, did nit make a mistake. The next day we had a profound discussion in our Bulgarian class where we had the chance to exchange vidions and opinions, which was a great way to sum up.

Celebrating International Teacher's Day

After all the organizing, we expected teachers's day to go smoothly and well. And it surely did. Even though we had little time (only the second break that is fifteen minutes) we managed to present a nice presentation by Ivona, Ralitsa and Daniel and give every teacher a present, we had chosen very nice 

sand clocks.

 I leave the meaning to you. After that I spoke to some teachers and understood that this simple gesture made them very happy, which resulted in me being happy too. I'm also pleased that what we did reached its goal and really showed what we think of teachers and how much we look up to them.
